Million Trees NYC - A PlaNYC initiative with NYC Parks and New York Restoration Project
A Million Ways to Get Involved: Tell Us About a Tree Planting Opportunity

To complement the City's street tree planting initiatives, NYRP and its partners need your help to identify viable institutional and private properties for tree planting - including schoolyards, public housing campuses, new developments, business districts, and vacant lots.

Each tree-planting recommendation will be shared with the appropriate private landowner or New York City agency. There are a number of factors that must be considered before public and private trees are planted, including landowner permission, infrastructure barriers, and resources necessary to support tree planting and care. We will make every effort to consider your recommendation.

Remember - To request a street tree from the Parks Department, click here or submit a request by calling 311. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT REQUESTS FOR PLANTING ON CITY SIDEWALKS THROUGH THIS FORM.
