A Million Ways to Get Involved, Fall 2009 Tree Giveaway

Hurry and Get Your Free Trees!

Almost two years have passed since the MillionTreesNYC campaign has started, and we are well on our way to planting one million trees by 2017. With the help of volunteers we have already planted over 250,000 trees at schools, streets, and parks throughout the City. This fall we are looking to plant trees in exciting new locations- and we have our sights set on your backyard!

The New York Restoration Project is partnering with several community organizations to encourage New Yorker’s to plant trees in their private yards, gardens and other community spaces. Through the generous sponsorship of Bloomberg Philanthropies and David Rockefeller, FREE trees will be made available for adoption at select locations throughout the City.
